Afrigo Band was founded in 1975 with an initial line-up of eight musicians, and is Uganda's longest-lasting band and arguably its most popular live act.
Its music draws on Congolese rumba alongside Ugandan traditional rhythms and folk song. Across four decades it has produced twenty-two albums and over two hundred songs.
